Finally, a post about travel and adventure!  I have been sticking fairly close to home lately, so when the opportunity came up last week to take the Sea to Sky to Squamish for a complementary helicopter ride, I jumped at the chance!  We made plans with friends, drove one of the most beautiful pieces of road from Vancouver up to Squamish on perhaps the most amazing day of the year thus far.  The temperature was a good 18-20 degrees Celsius, the wind gentle, and the sun bright.  A local Vancouver company SKY Helicopters was holding its first SKY Flyzone event, where they offered free flights up to see Shannon Falls, the Stawamus Chief, the town of Squamish and Howe Sound, to 100 people who were either invited/drawn as part of their rewards club, or won them.  I was very kindly offered two passes for two – how could I refuse?
